Enable saving of changes that require table to be re-created SQL server 2008

To change the Prevent saving changes that require the table re-creation option, follow these steps:
  • Open SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
  • On the Tools menu, click Options.
  • In the navigation pane of the Options window,  click Designers.
  • Select or clear the Prevent saving changes that require the table re-creation check box, and then click OK.
note if you disable this option you are not warned when you save the table that the changes that you made have changed the metadata structure of the table. in case, data loss may occur when you save the table.

How to Script a SQL Server Database with data or a Database Object with Data

i come accross a utility given by microsoft which is very usefull to do this.

You can download Database Publishing Wizard and install it.

In Database Publishing Wizard you can script table with design and its datas

In case you have Installation DVD of SQL 2008 you can find the same with the name

SqlPubWiz.msi
