Enterprise Application and RIA

from past couple of years the web gets more richer and it is now a days on the way to change the desktop applications reason behind it

(1) Easy Deployment
(2) Easy managebility
(3) works with layers

in resent time i have seen some of the development software like flex , silverlight which is comming up with the new term called RIA and which is almost the same version as of destop applications earlier the problem with the web applications were not having full controls as was in desktop applications , but RIA has changed the Senario for a while.

I tried to work on Silverlight which creates a client base application with connectivity to data access layer from the client side only i.e. JavaScript/WCF which is what make it rich at the time of development as well as taking full advantage of the client machine.
